re: work

So I just finished my first tour of the year. It went okay. My supervisor found someone else to work my Saturday day shift so I could go to a wedding in Ponoka, which was really fun. I had made only one New Years resolution, and that was not to be snarky on the phone to people. So far I think I have kept it pretty well.
I've been driving everywhere in the dark for several months now, and this last tour I drove in a lot of fog as well. I have to cross the Pembina River to get to work, and I'm guessing that's where the fog is coming from.
My Gecom supervisor is having surgery this week, so she won't be around for awhile. I guess we'll see how everything goes without her to run things. It usually means that there is a little more work for everyone, and a lot more work for the other supervisors.
I'm working on my paperwork for college admissions. I'm already officially admitted, but I need to fill out my residence application and medical forms, and send them some money. I'm really excited about going to Prairie College of Applied Arts & Technology (PCAAT), so paperwork is no hardship. Only 7 months to go. I find it hard to imagine what it will be like to neither live with my family nor go to work at weird hours of the day and night. I guess it's not too hard to adjust to anything.
